Daughter of a famous master percussionist, Dobet Gnahoré, learned music, dance and theatre in the famous Abidjan based dance and theater company, the « Ki Yi Mbock Company ». Her career started in 1999, with Ano Neko, a duet with the French guitarist Colin Laroche de Féline. The duet started to get international recognition after its participation to the MASA (the famous African Arts Market), in Abidjan. In January 2010, she won a Grammy Award for her song Palea remixed by the US soul singer India.Arie. Not only a singer, but also a dancer and percussionist, Dobet Gnahré is touring all around the world with more than 500 concerts in 6 years, captivating the audiences with her voice, her charisma and her beautiful presence.
