Family Atlantica, based in UK, and formed in the multiethnic district of Hackney in London, is a unique combo mixing the cuban rumba, the Venezuelan cumbia, great influences of funk music, with the highlife music from Ghana, and some flavours of spiritual jazz and African traditional music. The group, under the musical direction of the flutist and percussionist Jack Yglesias, is driven by the electrifying and psychedelic presence of the young and super talented voice of the venezuelian singer Luzmila Zerpa and play an exuberant, percussive and increasingly sophisticated music. They have performed in such important events and festivals as Womex (2013), Womad in UK(2013), Musiques Métisses in France (2014), Paléo Festival in Switzerland (2014). Website:
